Kim was born on July 27, 1972. She was born in South Carolina, but raised as a Georgia Peach. Kim was a self proclaimed “Ugly Duckling” back in her childhood. She entered her first pageant at 16 and won it. At 19, Kim won the 1991 Miss Georgia Pageant and went on to compete in Miss America. Kim opened up The Pageant Place to share her expertise. Kim is also an incredible make-up artist, working for Revlon and Christian Dior as well as a certified Life Coach.
Kim is one of the major cast members on the show as well as the title cast member. Kim is heavily featured on the show and appears in every single episode alongside her mother and sister. Kim trains her "pageant pros" while also scouting new talent.
